These days Israel is facing an unprecedented challenge. The profound impact of the tragic October 7th War not only shook our country but also exposed the alarming rise of anti-Semitism and spreading global hatred. Moreover, the instability within the Israeli leadership and the ongoing socio-political crisis confronts our society with complicated post-war considerations that affect both Israel and the Jewish community around the world.<\/p>

Ofir Libstein<\/strong>, head of the Shaar HaNegev Regional Council since 2018, tragically lost his life on October 7, along with his eldest son Nitzan, while defending their kibbutz. The news of their fall was profoundly difficult and came as a shock to many people across various segments of the population, both in Israel and globally. Ofir’s unique leadership and unique character showed us what leadership is, especially in Israel’s most difficult time. His actions and effects on the Negev region remain evidence of a different leadership, which remains as a testament to us.<\/p>

The Or Ofir Foundation<\/strong> was created to fulfil Ofir’s ideas and carry forward his vision. For us, this is a duty and a moral mission, the goal of which is to face future challenges, by cultivating leadership capable of dealing with national and global issues. His leadership embodies for us inspiration, dedication and commitment to foster a united society, while maintaining values \u200b\u200bof morality, empathy, social justice and tolerance.
