Ofir Liebstein , a man of vision and action, dedicated his life to the cause of Israeli society and the Jewish people in the Diaspora.
Throughout his life, Ofir served as Head of the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council, initiated numerous projects including the Darom Adom Festival, served as CEO of the Kibbutz Industry Association, Director of KKL Israel, Chairman of Habonim Dror, and was a founding partner of Netaim.
But before all this Ofir was a family man, the husband of Vared and the father of Aviv, Idan, Uri and the late Nitzan .
On the morning of Simchat Torah, Ofir was killed while defending his community of Kfar Aza during the Hamas attack on Israel. His beloved son Nitzan was also murdered that day.
Ofir held a profound commitment to the Jewish world and worked tirelessly to connect Jewish communities to Israel, guided by the values of Judaism, resilience, and leadership. His vision lives on in the Kehilor Netaim program, which he founded.
